Its a personal choice. Your dd's pea...Affton,

Its a personal choice. Your dd's pearl earrings are gorgeous! For what its worth, I pierced my daughter’s ears at 6 weeks. She was asleep, we did one ear, I nursed her back down, and we did the other. She barely flinched or cried. Our ped said doing it when mommy could care for them was best. Yes, it can be done at the mall, but some of those gals aren’t experienced doing tiny, wiggly infants. But my pediatrician and her nurses have done hundreds including their own little baby girls all under 3months.

I also nursed my daughter right after it was done…so they only cried for a minute…literally. Of course, that isn’t an option for everyone, but it worked well for our girls. None of them were bothered by the earrings while sleeping, and didn’t try to pull them out either.

Try getting some screwback earrings to prevent lost earrings. They work great. She’s had 14K gold baby screwback earrings in since I changed her out and put some little pearl earrings to replace the starter studs. I love little girls with pearls and think it makes them look so ingenue and like little cherubs.

Congrats on making a great decision on behalf of your dd. She'll thank you later for the "gift of pierced
ears" as an infant. If you or any mom would like any of our ped’s care tips for infants, then don’t hesitate to write me an e-mail.

Amy
amyswor@hotmail.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8122416862941477676.post-80099108091130549702012-08-03T10:38:55.137-05:002012-08-03T10:38:55.137-05:00Wow!
